System Administrator - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (SAL) Level 2 Position Summary DarkStar Intelligence seeks a highly skilled System Administrator - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (SAL) Level 2 to support mission-critical IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)-based systems in a secure, high-performance computing environment. This role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability and security of Linux-based IT systems. Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Schedule (FT/PT): Full-Time Travel Required: No Shift: Day Remote Type: None/On-Site Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Polygraph: Required Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide support for the implementation and operation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based Information Technology (IT) systems. Install and configure Linux-based operating systems and their services according to provided specifications. Conduct day-to-day operations, such as account management, system health and status checks, and internal technical and security log review. Identify and correct common deficiencies and errors. Identify capacity, performance, and reliability issues and escalate them for resolution. Apply patches and configuration changes according to provided direction. Support the dispatching of hardware technicians and perform hardware maintenance. Automate basic tasks and use tools in order to provide concurrent management of multiple systems. Communicate status to agency management and internal customers. Minimum Qualifications Current Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph US Citizen A high school diploma (or GED) is required. Two years of demonstrated IT experience in any related field. One year demonstrated Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration experience within the last five (5) years. An active Tier I certification related to Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration, such as the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification. Salary Range $120,000- $140,000 This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
