This position supports the Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSBB) Business Unit Chief Risk Officers (BUCRO), overseeing Branch Banking and Premier Banking. Responsibilities include risk identification, aggregation, and oversight across all eight risk types, engaging with senior executives, and ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.

Key duties involve:

1. Ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks and escalating risks appropriately.
2. Serving as a delegate and proxy for the BUCRO in governance and strategy meetings.
3. Challenging risk decisions and escalating significant or emerging risks.
4. Supporting documentation and execution of risk programs.
5. Collaborating with the Business Unit Risk Manager staff on risk matters.
6. Monitoring risk exposures and reporting on risk activities and trends.
7. Promoting risk initiatives and participating in governance and regulatory activities.
8. Leading a team of risk professionals, including performance management and development.

Qualifications include:

• Broad risk and regulatory knowledge (Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation, Technology, Strategic).
• Minimum 15 years of risk management experience in financial services.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and governance skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field; advanced degrees or certifications like FRM/CFA are preferred.
