The Private Banking Client Associate provides administrative, operational, and client support for Private Bankers within the Trust Company. The primary goal of a Client Associate is to reduce time spent by the Private Bankers on administrative and operational concerns. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of client relationships for 1-3 Private Bankers, providing a superior client experience by completing tasks, resolving issues, and following up in a timely manner, working closely with assigned Private Banker(s) to build strong communication, preparing client presentations, participating in joint calls, assisting in processing loans and scheduling closings, communicating directly with clients to complete service needs and documenting conversations in the CRM (Quest), ensuring CRM records are kept up-to-date, identifying new clients and sales opportunities through client support and networking, supporting other client associates by communicating effectively and providing coverage, and performing other duties as assigned. Required knowledge and skills include general banking services and products with emphasis on lending and deposit products, customer contact and communication skills, proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet preparation, good organizational skills, motivation and strong attention to detail, strong team player with excellent communication skills, adaptability and resilience, and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with associate’s or bachelor's degree preferred, 2+ years retail or commercial banking experience preferred, and experience with Commerce internal systems preferred. The position requires authorization for an investigatory consumer report disclosing credit history.
