Job Title: Freight Sales Agent
Location: Colorado Springs, CO (On-Site)
Reports to: Sales Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $36,000–$39,500 per year + 10% commission

 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven and motivated Freight Sales Agent to join our growing logistics team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales, have excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to generate and maintain client relationships. This role involves cold calling, managing leads, and promoting our freight services to businesses across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling (minimum 80 calls per day), networking, referrals, and research

  • Qualify leads and conduct product presentations to assess client needs and provide tailored solutions

  • Follow up consistently with prospects and move leads through the sales pipeline

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s freight services, industry trends, and competitor offerings

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, including revenue goals and new customer acquisition

  • Build long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and timely communication

  • Present rates, negotiate deals, and close sales

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or business development (B2B experience preferred)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to negotiate, close deals, and build trust with clients

  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
