Job Title: Freight Sales Agent
Location: Colorado Springs, CO (On-Site)
Reports to: Sales Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $36,000–$39,500 per year + 10% commission
Position Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven and motivated Freight Sales Agent to join our growing logistics team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales, have excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to generate and maintain client relationships. This role involves cold calling, managing leads, and promoting our freight services to businesses across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling (minimum 80 calls per day), networking, referrals, and research
Qualify leads and conduct product presentations to assess client needs and provide tailored solutions
Follow up consistently with prospects and move leads through the sales pipeline
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s freight services, industry trends, and competitor offerings
Achieve and exceed sales targets, including revenue goals and new customer acquisition
Build long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and timely communication
Present rates, negotiate deals, and close sales
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in sales or business development (B2B experience preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to negotiate, close deals, and build trust with clients
Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
