Job Opportunity: Configuration Management Specialist at NASA Join us in our mission to explore the Moon and Mars! Be part of a dynamic team making history at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, supporting groundbreaking projects like the International Space Station, Space Launch System, Orion, and Launch Services programs. Responsibilities Understand and apply Configuration Management (CM) disciplines and requirements. Familiarity with SAE/EIA 649 Configuration Management Standard is highly desirable. Manage Engineering Release Processes and Procedures. Work with Engineering Requirements related to CM and review change requests and documentation. Maintain accurate accounting and status of requirements across organizations. Review documents and drawings to ensure CM compliance. Utilize database applications such as KDDMS, CMST, Maximo, and others. Communicate effectively with team members, engineering, support functions, and customers. Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with accuracy. Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently. Possess or pursue Certification in CM Principles and Implementation. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and Internet browsers. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience. We are open to considering candidates at various levels based on experience and business needs. Additional Requirements Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work in confined spaces. Willingness to wear protective equipment and work in diverse environments. Dependability and punctuality, with flexibility for overtime and travel. Legal eligibility to work in the U.S., with proof of citizenship or permanent residency. Clear communication skills and ability to work well with others. Possession of a valid CDL with endorsements and a Florida driver’s license is preferred. Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening.
