Job Title: Asbestos Investigator Location: New York, NY Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary:Seeking a qualified and motivatedAsbestos Investigatorto join our Environmental Services team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting asbestos inspections, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Key Responsibilities: Conduct asbestos inspections and surveys in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Collect bulk and air samples for laboratory analysis. Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, including site sketches, sample logs, and regulatory documentation. Ensure compliance with NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), OSHA, and EPA regulations. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies. Maintain accurate field notes and documentation. Use field equipment such as air sampling pumps and microscopes. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred. ValidNYC Asbestos Investigator Certificationrequired. Minimum 2 years of experience in asbestos inspection or environmental consulting. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local asbestos regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. The position is based in a great office located in Midtown, New York, and involves overseeing sampling in the field. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager.
